Agent Writing Purchase Agreement For Wrong Price

June 11, 2019 by Rick Landuyt Leave a Comment

Q: the purchase price is say $123,000.00 but the real estate agent is writing up the purchase agreement for only $100,000.00. Is that legal?.

A: Without seeing the entire agreement, it is near impossible to determine it’s legality. However, if you ‘smell something funny’, check it out. Your ‘gut instinct’ is usually accurate. I suggest having a Real Estate Attorney look over your contract, before signing.
