Cant Afford My Home Anymore

April 1, 2019 by Rick Landuyt Leave a Comment

Q: i owe about $265,000 on a four plex in tx. i can no longer afford the property especially the $6000 in property taxes due in Dec. I currently have 3 of the 3 units rented. how do i get out of this? quickly.

A: The 1st solution would be to sell it, putting it at a price that would allow you to walk away while still attracting like kind buyers. Another (temporary) solution would be to raise the rents & get that 4th place rented out to get you cash flow & show the prospective buyers the income possibilities.
