Closing Cost’s

March 26, 2019 by Rick Landuyt Leave a Comment

Q: I wrote an offer and asked agent to ask seller to pay closing cost. on my offer it doesnt say that it only states seller to pay escrow and title insurance, and county transfer tax. are these the same as closing cost?

A: No way are they the same. An offer, once it is accepted, is a legal contract! It is extremely important that you – reduce to writing – all the terms & conditions you want. If there is any other interpretation of the language on the agreement, it becomes ‘subject to interpretation’ & could end up in court (or at least a lot of hard feelings & misdirected anger). If that is the ‘exact’ language’ contained in your offer – you could have a problem. Address it now!
