Seller Won’t Reduce Price

March 15, 2019 by Rick Landuyt Leave a Comment

Q: In a contract, as purchaser, buying 20 acres and survey comes back as 19.5 acres; if seller won’t reduce price accordingly, then what

A: Review the terms & conditions of the contract you & they signed. This will ‘shed’ some light on the alternatives. I would think that you & they agreed that you would purchase ‘x’ for a certain price. Since that ‘x’ is not what you believed to be completely what you were buying, the right to rescind should be more in your favor.
