Who Pays For Environmental Inspections

May 5, 2019 by Rick Landuyt Leave a Comment

Q: Who pays for environmental inspections on commercial real estate? Buyer or Seller?

A: In most cases, the purchaser pays for environmental inspections of the property they are purchasing (or negotiating to purchase). Inspections like these are usually done during the discovery period (contingency) that is negotiated in the purchase contract.
